The room my partner and I booked for 6 nights was listed as fully self contained, however did not have kitchen facilities and was old and dated. The word “resort” for this accommodation is reserved for the lagoon pool only. Your room will only be serviced if you are there 5 or more nights, as stated on the info you find in your room after checking in. Ours was not serviced at all and we were given 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for 2 adults for the time we stayed, and we had to ask for more from reception during staffed hours, too bad that we’d run out in the middle of the night. Expect to find snakes within close range of the living facilities and not just on the golf course. Don’t bother reporting them, because wherever you may be coming from, the condescending attitude you will get from reception will make you feel like a complete idiot. “What do you expect, I have a snake in my back yard we get them all the time.” While this may seem standard to the people that live in the area, most people are actually there on holiday, and that can be quite confronting and scary. Not that this particular staff member cared about that. It’s best to hire a vehicle as this location is not within walking distance of very much, but parking is an absolute joke, something needs to be done about this, Eg: assigning a single spot for each room, any other vehicle or vehicles that are too large that they can’t seem to fit in just one spot (deliberately or not) should be parked on the street. I don’t think I could be paid enough to rebook at this accommodation again unfortunately. It put a real dampener an experience I’d really been looking forward to for a long time.
Loved this resort. We had 2 bedroom apartment and it was very spacious. Kids were in heaven as their room was a self contained apartment with their own tv and balcony! We looked down onto pool. Room 47 I think. The pools were great. Nice and quiet. Walking distance to pub and Kai cafe and beach and wildlife zoo. Used SR coaches to go in and out of town every day. Staff helpful. Only gripe was the hairdryer was from the 1980s with barely a whisper of air!
Great stay, spacious room and nice pool. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after from the moment we arrived - in particular, shoutout to Kristen.
Booked a 1 bed room only to be upgraded to a 3 bed villa amazing rooms and facilities so close to the golf course quiet location easy access to Port Douglas and surrounds beaut spot
Amazing location! Peaceful. Beautiful resort with lovely pool area. Friendly staff. Received a warm welcome with a lovely breakfast basket and some Champaign! The room was a little bit small and bathroom a bit stuffy, no ventilation and felt like a sauna! Otherwise, everything else was lovely. Would definitely stay here again when in Port Douglas.
Smooth check in with a friendly receptionist who handed us spa gift vouchers and was informative. We drove in the gate a block away and arrived at the property with champagne on the table to celebrate my partner and I’s anniversary.
The place was very relaxing and you can hear the waterfall from the pools. We instantly felt at home when we arrived. The Netflix was signed on so we got to chill out on the couch. We prepared our own food in the kitchen and was able to use the laundry and dryer too. The amenities they have were great, we got to use the heated pool and relaxed. They had bbq facilities and tennis court which we didn’t get to use.
Overall, we had a great stay. Thank you to the friendly staff members who also got back to us about our concern with the dishwasher.
We stayed at Paradise Links for our wedding. There was 25 of us over 7 rooms. We had a 4 bedroom villa with our 4 children. The villa was large and lovely. The villa was used the day of the wedding for the female bridal prep and was perfect! The pool area was lovely. Bbq area to catch up with our guests was great. While it’s a short trip to town the Taxi’s in and out of town were a little on the expensive side.
We, a family of 5 - 4 adults and one 12yo, stayed for 3 nights. ||The rainforest facing villa was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. ||Property came with a single garage and washer/dryer/ dishwasher.||I would have given 4.5* …
